Kevin Kim

Kevin Kim is the President of EMC Korea, the position he assumed since July, 2003. Prior to this position, Kevin was the Sales Area Manager of the same company.

Prior to joining EMC in 1999, Kevin worked for Hyundai Electronics, Gain System and Silicon Graphics. He started his career as a software development engineer at Hyundai Electronics and his experience has spanned the full range of Information Technology; sales, marketing, business planning and technical support, for 15 years.

Kevin Kim began his tenure at EMC Korea as the Program Management Manager in November 1999. His proven leadership qualities and insights into international business scenes, which he gained from his days in Silicon Graphics as the Director of Asia Pacific Business Development team, have paved foundations for his promotion to APJK Program Management Director in July 2000. This marks as the first Korean being appointed to the regional position of EMC.

Starting January 2001, Kevin Kim led Integrated Marketing & Sales Support team and Korean Solution Center until he was named Sales Area Manager in January of 2003. He spearheaded establishment of the Korean Solution Center in August 2003, the largest IT solution center in Korea, by eliciting investment of 2 billion dollars from EMC headquarter.

His 19-year of experience in various fields in IT industry has equipped him with market and business insight as well as technology background. He is also widely appraised for the practical ways he makes decisions and innovative ways of formulating strategies.
