The EMC China R&D Center was founded on July 17, 2006, followed by the establishment of the EMC China Lab and Advanced Technical Support Center. The EMC China R&D Center was officially opened in November 2nd, 2006 and has grown fast with two locations in Shanghai and Beijing. Its key objectives are to provide advanced software and hardware development and quality assurance for EMC business operations, as well as to supply world-class products and services for customers worldwide. Since its foundation, the EMC China R&D Center has been positioned as the source of innovation for EMC’s information infrastructure. The EMC China R&D Center was upgraded to the EMC China Center of Excellence in July 2009, consisted of six functions, the EMC Storage Technology R&D Hub, Cloud Computing R&D Hub, Information Management R&D Hub, EMC China Lab, Global Solution Center and Advanced Technical Support Center.
