EMC, a worldwide leader in information infrastructure, is seeking a senior engineer. The candidate should either have strong programming skills, or has strong database and application expertise.

Project Aurora is a new R&D initiative to explore new system architecture and programming model in a virtual data center. The ideal candidate should have experience making development contributions to core computing systems, storage systems, core database engines, data warehouse and business intelligence applications, Dynamo/BigTable/MapReduce/Hadoop or other internet applications that deal with large amount of data. Deep knowledge of NAND flash technology and flash controller algorithms, x86 virtualization technologies, or experience with general purpose GPU computing are good pluses. We are looking for a passionate and brilliant individual to join a dynamic world-class team, and play an important role in this project that has the potential of revolutionaries the entire IT industry.

Requirements:

• Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputable university
• 3+ years of industry experience
• Solid experience in designing and developing database or data-intensive applications or computing/storage systems.Strong coding skills in Java, C++ ( e.g. SAP, Oracle)
• Outstanding problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Comfortable developing for the Windows and/or Linux environments
